Willa Odefey is a student at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and The Beacon’s CRM and development coordinator. After graduating from Clark University, she moved back to her home state of New York and began covering stories in the city, sitting with people often overlooked by the media and giving them a space to share their experiences.
